Emily Yerge

We have a new Online Content Manager in the Siburt Institute! Emily Yerge has joined our team, and in this role, she will play an integral part in multiple aspects of our work. As many organizations know, having an up-to-date, informative, and helpful online presence is a crucial part of any kind of communication in the current day. Emily will maintain our website and lead the work of managing the content contained therein, from our downloadable resources to our event pages to the various tools that our website houses. She will also be in charge of our social media channels—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube—thus helping us stay connected with you across many platforms. Emily will produce our podcast series, Live from the Siburt Institute, and she will manage our Mosaic blog, where she will interface with authors; in both of these cases, she will ensure that the technology delivers our interviewees’ and authors’ ideas to you. Be on the lookout for all of these, plus new initiatives and media as they make their appearance under Emily’s leadership!

Emily is a native Midwesterner, and she began her work in digital media in high school as a hobby which led her to pursue it as a career in college. In May 2022, she graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, where she earned a degree in Multimedia Communications and Intercultural Studies. Her dedication to her studies led her to further expand her skill set, and in August 2023, she will have completed her Masters of Business Administration from Olivet as well. Throughout her time at a Christian university and in her studies in ministry, Emily developed a passion for utilizing her creativity and digital expertise to spread the Good News. Joining the Siburt Institute aligns perfectly with her aspirations, as she is driven by its mission to equip ministers and leaders and strengthen church bodies across the nation. Her enthusiasm for digital media and ministry in tandem continued to grow, and while in college, she worked as a digital media specialist for Solutions Church in Matteson, Illinois. After graduating, Emily took on a role with Movement Church Salt Lake in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she continued to use her skills in the service of ministry. Recently, she made the decision to return to her hometown of Rochester Hills, Michigan, to be closer to her loved ones.

Both in her professional and personal life, Emily is a digital creator who thrives on exploring new avenues of creativity. When she's not immersed in her work, she enjoys venturing outdoors, always accompanied by her friends and her camera, as photography and videography are some of her favorite hobbies. Being outdoors brings her immense joy, and she finds fulfillment in activities such as hiking, camping, running, skiing, and rock climbing.

With Emily's expertise, passion, and commitment to growing the Kingdom, we are excited to have her as a part of our team!
