Equipping Leaders for Mission

January 20, 2024 | 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
McKnight Crossings Church of Christ (map)

We've all heard the word "unprecedented" a lot over the past three years, haven't we?  It's quite clear to us in church leadership that we are in new territory in church life, especially compared to decades past.  So what do we do in light of the big-picture challenges we face as Christians in modern society, and the very local challenges we face as leaders in our own contexts?  How can we guide and shepherd our own flocks while also looking outward into our communities?  Come join us at McKnight Crossings Church of Christ on Saturday, January 20, for a time of equipping and renewal.  Researchers and professors from Abilene Christian University and the Siburt Institute for Church Ministry will help us recognize and understand some of the challenges we are facing, discover ways we can change our thinking about those challenges in light of God's continued action and our continued hope in Christ, learn about leadership practices for missional churches, and develop spiritual practices especially appropriate for the challenges of the moment.
