Introducing Brock Paulk

We are pleased to announce that Brock Paulk has joined the Siburt Institute team as the Resource Development and Event Director for our Empower & Equip Initiative.

The Siburt team is growing, thanks to our partnership with Pepperdine University to lead the Empower & Equip Initiative. This national project is intended to resource small town and rural Churches of Christ, and we are excited that Brock Paulk has joined our staff to support the Empower & Equip Initiative as the Resource Development and Event Director. Empower & Equip is funded by a 5-year grant from the Lilly Endowment to Pepperdine University, and our work will coordinate the efforts of a collection of partners, including universities and other supporting organizations, to provide research and resources for churches in small town and rural ministry contexts across the country.

Brock will serve the national project by leading the development of a library of resources for small town and rural churches, and he will partner with congregations, connecting church leaders to supportive communities and providing access to resources from the Siburt Institute and other partners. Prior to joining our staff, Brock enjoyed a long-tenured ministry with the Heritage Church of Christ in Fort Worth, Texas, where he served as student minister from 2005–2012 before accepting the congregation's invitation into a year-long succession process that led to Brock’s taking on the senior minister role from 2014–2025.

Brock holds a bachelor's degree in Youth and Family Ministry and a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry, both from ACU. He is married to Sarah, and they have two teenage children. Brock enjoys being active through sports, especially golf, hunting, and fishing, as well as playing games and enjoying the outdoors with his family.

We are excited that Brock is joining our team this fall, and we look forward to seeing the expansion of the Siburt Institute's ministry to small town and rural churches.
