Rich Heritage, Unfolding Future: Renewing Churches for God’s Mission
Our country’s religious landscape is changing rapidly and many churches are in decline. Yet God’s desire for humankind remains constant. Congregations face the challenge of adapting to a new day while remaining faithful and fruitful. What can we learn from the past? What are some signs of vitality and flourishing in congregations today? This year’s Summer Seminar explores the rich heritage of the Stone-Campbell Movement, offers a snapshot of the present, and compels us all to catch a renewed vision of God’s preferred future.
Randy Harris will lead our Summer Seminar again this year, along with a growing team of speakers who are deeply involved in the church. Click each person’s photo to read their bio.
This focused short course is open to all interested adults. This includes not only congregational leaders, but also church members and students who wish to dig more deeply into learning and reflection.
We will gather in Abilene Christian University’s Hunter Welcome Center (campus map). The $60 registration fee includes Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, refreshments, and handout materials. Be sure to register by August 5.
