Why Is My Bible Changing?

Bibles have changed a lot in the last fifteen years. The catalysts for change include greed, language development, culture wars, and research. A grasp of these issues can help ministers serve those who are questioning the Scriptures.

Our regional Equipping for Ministry gatherings aim to equip church leaders with tools for ministry, to provide them with times of fellowship and worship with other leaders, and to build ongoing relationships with other congregations in their area. All of these are so important during these difficult times, when so many church leaders feel alone, isolated, and frustrated.

Special Guest: Curt Niccum

Dr. Jerry Taylor

Curt Niccum is assistant director of ACU’s Center for the Study of Ancient Religious Texts and teaches Greek and New Testament text courses. He is also co-director of the Textual History of the Ethiopic Old Testament Project, which was recently awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Additionally, Curt is a member of the International Greek New Testament Project Committee, co-directing the new edition of Colossians and serving on the advisory board for the edition of Revelation. He preaches for the South 11th and Willis Church of Christ. Curt and his wife, Deborah, have a keen interest in missions, especially for Europe and New Zealand.

Who Should Come?

We design Equipping for Ministry gatherings primarily for ministers, elders, and other church leaders.

Covid Plan

In light of the current COVID-19 situation in Oklahoma, we will continually monitor the pandemic landscape. We’ll update registrants on our COVID precautions and procedures as the event comes closer. As we make our decision, we’ll take into account ACU guidelines, local conditions and policies in Oklahoma, and practices at the host congregation. In the meantime, we continue to encourage vaccination to help prevent the spread of the virus.
