A new staff member has joined the Siburt Institute team! This spring Caroline Kennemer has come on board as an administrative coordinator for Siburt. She recently graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in child and family services, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at ACU's Graduate School of Theology. These programs have prepared her well to work in ministry and non-profit settings, both of which are incorporated into the work of the Siburt Institute. Caroline will support many of our event initiatives (like Summit, ElderLink, and the CMI and Selah programs), provide direct administrative assistance to our associate director, Dr. David Kneip, and help with many aspects of our financial and budgeting activity.

Caroline is no stranger to the church ministry and non-profit world, having been raised in the church as a recipient of these ministries and, more recently, volunteering in various capacities within her congregation. She has served in the children's ministry for the past three years and began working with the college ministry this past year. In addition to that, Caroline began volunteering with Pregnancy Resources of Abilene last year. Caroline's work in both of these areas, as well as her new position at the Siburt Institute, is both administrative and people-oriented, allowing her to pursue her passion for both organization and loving others well.

When she's not busy working or studying, Caroline can often be found either reading a good book or catching up with a friend. She loves puzzles of all sorts and has a list for everything. Spending time outdoors is one of her favorite ways to connect with God. She enjoys hiking and spending time at the lake, or simply slowing down to enjoy a West Texas sunset and the starry night sky.
